St Athan Jitsu

British Championships 2018

Hi Everyone,

Well, it is that time of the year when we are invited by our friends from the Jiu Jitsu Foundation to take part in the British Juinior Randori Jiu Jitsu Championships. The championships will be held in the usual place, Walsall, on Saturday 21st April 2018. We would like to take as many people as possible so that we can once again show the Jitsu Foundation how awesome our club is! (We almost won the club trophy last year because everyone did so well, which turned a few heads!)

The Championships will comprise of a training course in the morning taught by senior instructors from around the country followed by a competition in the afternoon. Entry to the course and competition will cost £20 (£15 if more than one member of the same family is attending).

We will be travelling up in convoy and will leave from outside the Londis at 7.30am. We expect to be back at about 7.00pm. I am hoping that we can arrange lifts again with parents who would like to come and watch, as this worked out so well last year.

Club Hoodies

We have been working hard to sort out club hoodies before the nationals. At the moment the cost will be £22 per hoodie, but if we get lots of orders we may be able to reduce this. We need to know as soon as possible who would definitely like one along with your chest size. If we get enough confirmations by Friday we will put the order in on the Saturday.

If you would like to attend the championships you need to get your parent or guardian to fill out the confirmation slip and return it with a £5 deposit either to the club, no later than the 31st March, or you can drop it off to Kristan Jenkins in the Londis no later than the 7th April.

If you are able to provide a lift could you please let me know so we can start to plan the car pool. If you have any questions about the championships please ask me at the next club session or ring me on 07779041908 or email me at adam.jenkins@stathanjitsu.co.uk.

EASTER HOLIDAYS

The club will be closed over the Easter holiday. As a result there will be no training on Friday 30th March and   Friday 6th April. Club sessions will start back as normal on Friday 13th April.
